Food:

Don’t think that food plays second fiddle here: it’s a cut above pub grub. There are things like slow-roasted pork belly with tomatoes; seafood linguini with gorgonzola cream; bacon and emmenthal quiche; and smoked salmon bruschetta with avocado and rocket; as well as a range of deli style sandwiches. You can also order a charcuterie or cheese platter to pair with your wine.

Wine:

Over 400 wines to choose from, 80 of which are available by the glass.

Service:

Friendly and professional, but it would be nice if the waitrons knew more about the wines.

Ambience:

Plenty of wood and stone in an old historic building on the street side of Heritage Square. Cosy at night, and vibey on the veranda during the day.

And...:

Parking can be painful, so go to the parking area in the square itself. (GL, October 2011)
