All the dishes we ordered were fantastic from the garlic naan to the tandoori fish - the food takes a while to prepare but it’s worth the wait !

Palki Is an authentic Indian Restaurant serving Durban since 1997 with distinction and pride for 18 Years. Being one of the pioneering restaurants with Indian chefs from Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore, we can offer a vast array of delectable cuisine. The cosy atmosphere has been a welcoming place for the Indian National cricket team over the years. Palki has seen celebrities of all types walk through her doors including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and other groups, most recently Eastern Mosaic and the cast of Isidingo. We are a family friendly restaurant and family dinners are what keeps patrons arriving early and leaving late. The warm ambience and friendly atmosphere makes for great memories !

Anyone in the Durban area who enjoys Indian cuisine and hasn't tried Palki's is in for an experience. Authentic dishes served by waitrons who can recommend dishes according to the customer's preferences. As the menu is in an Indian dialect (excuse my ignorance for not knowing which one). Every time I go I tell the server what I feel like - spicy, sweet, creamy, r ich...and without fail I am blown away with what is presented to me! An inconspicuous doorway next to a fish and chips shop on Musgrave Road leads you up a stairway and into a little taste of India! By far the best Indian food I have tasted outside of India. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation as I have been there many times and am always, without fail, blown away.
