A country pub combined with a restaurant, the Iron Crown has undergone a revival and is serving a mainly meaty menu to an increasingly satisfied family crowd. Most popular are the T-bones, fillets and rumps. And thank goodness this is a place that understands ‘rare’; or ‘medium’ for that matter. Grills come with a variety of sauces, try the wonderful pepper sauce. For those with a less meaty palate, the chicken schnitzels and chicken wings are good, and the hake and chips is an excellent choice. Limited wine list. Convivial atmosphere and cheerful service.
