Food:

Chef-patron Eddie Tzeng trained at Willoughby’s and Wasabi before opening his own restaurant. Nibble on authentic Asian tapas like steamed soya beans, deep-fried crab and an amazing array of dim sum, spring rolls, won ton and tempura. The sushi men go local with a rainbow nation lunch box, crazy boy rolls and sushi boerewors – while sticking to tradition with authentic house specialities like salmon teriyaki, barbecue pork and Peking duck. Exotic salads, sushi and tempura for vegetarians.

Wine:

Excellent wine and spirit list with heated sake, the restaurant’s namesake.

Service:

Elegant and relaxed. Watch skilled Asian chefs create seamless sushi in the glass kitchen.

Ambience:

The dark wooden finishes, oriental dividers and bamboo create a Zen space as tranquil and contemplative as an orchard of falling cherry blossoms.

And...:

Where possible, the owner supports sustainable seafood initiatives by substituting fresh local fish for scarce imported species. (GH, September 2010)
