Food:

Chef-patron Andrew Draper is an unashamed purveyor of luxury and the menu sees classic elements like confit duck or frog legs given idiosyncratic twists. His signature dish remains tiger prawns served on angel hair pasta with smoked salmon, caviar and a triple sec hollandaise. Desserts are suitably wicked.

Wine:

A careful compilation of pedigreed local wines is in keeping with the decadent surroundings and is priced accordingly.

Service:

Waiters are laced into waistcoats and undertake their duties seriously, mindful of etiquette and well versed in the menu. Efficiency can be compromised when they’re multi-tasking.

Ambience:

A luxurious interior sees diners cocooned within velvet clad walls, a stylish veranda overlooks Mitchell Park, and a sumptuous lounge area is perfect for aperitifs.

And...:

Take advantage of the great value two-course luncheons. (TG, October 2011)
