Food:

With a name that means ‘beautiful food’ in Italian, it’s no surprise that the menu has its sights set firmly on Europe, offering the likes of poached marrow bones and garlic snails for the adventurous. The wide selection of pizza and pasta are fairly dependable, or opt for the creative Karoo-inspired ostrich saltimbocca.

Wine:

Not especially exciting, with only a few estates on offer. Light on local wineries and by-the-glass offerings, but generally offers good value.

Service:

Country casual, with not an air or grace to be seen; a style that seems to go down well with patrons.

Ambience:

Generous portions and an accessible menu have made this a popular local hangout. Terrace tables are great on summer evenings.

And...:

This is a good option for families, with efficient staff and a relaxed vibe. (RH, September 2010)
