We had been recommended to The Bistro (somewhat confusingly also known as Metamorphis) for our visit to Wakkerstroom, and enjoyed our dining experience there greatly. Lizzie Lack the Owner/Chef is indeed a character, in this village known for its birding opportunities both locally and internationally. An interesting and extensive tapas menu for lunch and a delicious a la carte menu, in a cosy art filled space, with a fire and good company on the evening we dined there. Great use of locally sourced ingredients and undoubtedly a skilled couple of chefs, we look forward to returning.

As a Coeliac I am always nervous about eating out...not so here! Fabulous food, fabulous service and ambience and everything carefully prepared for me. I cannot express how comforting it was to know that I was in such safe 'hands' plus the food was great! A big thank-you to the staff!
