This is behind the boerewors curtain, so meat is the order of the day. Try the fillet steak with pink peppercorn sauce or the sirloin with veggies, both served with excellent fries, or go for broke with the big burger with bacon, cheese and onion sauce and sweet tomato relish. For something lighter, try the chicken fillet with chardonnay sauce and pesto. Finish with malva pudding or crème brûlée.

A small list, with some of the best from this area and others. Some have a hefty mark-up. Or bring your own for a R35 corkage fee.

Friendly and timeous.

Two places in one, really. A popular outside area and deck is great for families and kids, and inside ups the ante somewhat with leanings towards elegance. At its best in the late afternoon and early evenings, inside and out.

Had brekfast here twice in the last month and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The service is really good and the setting sublime on a warm sunny morning. Only let down was the slightly tasteless bacon...
