Food:

If you’re up for it, you can cook your own food Korean-style on a hot griddle or in a bowl of broth for shabu shabu, which is very much like a fondue. This is great fun and draws everyone into the moment. Choose from chicken, beef, veggies and seafood, or try one of the dishes prepared for you, like the delicious pancakes topped with prawns. Mains include stir-fried beef marinated in a special sauce and served with glass noodles; chicken in a spicy chili paste sauce; and many versions on the sweet and sour theme with noodles or rice.

Wine:

A small, uninteresting selection. Rather take your own.

Service:

Enthusiastic, from a group of Korean locals.

Ambience:

It’s a very small room with plastic samples of dishes in the window. Much frequented by visiting Koreans, this is the real thing, with a nice oriental buzz.
