Katarina’s at The Kurland Hotel, named after owners Di and Peter Behr’s daughter, offers an extensive bistro-style menu. With seating for up to 50 guests on the veranda, Katarina’s is open for lunch and dinner and welcomes resident and non-resident guests. Visitors have the option to dine inside or alfresco, or order a drink from the French bar and relax in front of the log fire in the lounge area. The décor and design was conceptualised by Di Behr and Glenda Lederle, who wanted to emphasise a tranquil, informal dining atmosphere while showcasing the benefits of outdoor living. Its state-of-the-art kitchen, designed by Executive Chef Leon Coetzee, ensures Katarina’s is suitable for boutique conferencing and special occasions. The restaurant also serves as a location for wedding receptions with its view of the surrounding mountains.
