We have been dining here on many occasions and give credit where due , a relaxed ambience , staff friendly and the owner is friendly - not shy with some of the pricing but then again the specials board has many surprises. The only disappointment was the tuna the one night , if tuna is in short supply then keep it off the menu , the cold looking grey meat does not cook well or tase good despite all good efforts. One night we had crumbed chicken breast with mushroom sauce and salad well presented in a tall ramekin , a nice touch. And my partner ordered a burger - the chicken well priced nicely cooked, crummy crust with lovely tender meat, the mushroom sauce stunning still trying to get my tastebuds to identify what went into it . The burger patty was light and juicy , not like some compressed cardboard offerings from some eateries .. My highlight this Saturday night doing a solo eat out was the penne with salmon and grated butternut sauce. The salmon flaked generously into the dish, grated butternut sauce in symphony with the salmon was pure heaven on the tastebuds and yes my tummy was very happy. More interestingly I took my time eating it as I was doing a lot of chattng to the owner - the colder the dish became the more yummy it was. Congrats Michaels - wish you all the success and yes I am a regular - you are close enough to home for me to safely get back.
