The 41 (Camps Bay)? 

Every day from 3pm to 5pm, all classic cocktails are half price at The 41. And, if you plan to become a regular, check out the cocktail loyalty card, which will get you a free cocktail after you’ve bought 10.

Arnold’s (Gardens)

Arnold’s offers a breathtaking setting, warm and welcoming atmosphere and delicious food – all else you need is a drink. Between 4.30pm and 6.30pm, you can enjoy tipples such as the strawberry daiquiri, mojito, Cape wines or craft beers at special prices.

Banana Jam Café (Kenilworth)

Every day from 5pm to 6pm is cocktail happy hour – the best time to try a concoction featuring some of Banana Jam’s extensive range of rums (or anything else you fancy).

Beerhouse (City Bowl)

Between 4pm to 6pm every Monday and Tuesday, Beerhouse celebrates Hoppy Hour (they made it cute), when you can grab two pints of Devil’s Peak Lager for R60. Ladies’ Night happens every Thursday from 6pm to 9pm, when women can enjoy two-for-one Kopparberg Cosmo cocktails.

Beluga (De Waterkant)? 

Don’t just stop in for the sushi and dim sum – between 12pm and 6pm, you can also enjoy discounted cocktails. The offer also applies all day on Sundays.

Bombay Bicycle Club (Gardens)? 

Join in the fun with happy hour drinks between 4pm and 6pm, and again from 10pm until closing time, when selected beers, cocktails, wines and shots are on special.

Bootlegger Coffee Company (Kenilworth and Sea Point)

Bootlegger is the place to be between 4.30pm and 6.30pm every day for 50% off beer and cocktails. Indulge in cocktails like the raspberry fix, a margarita or a mai tai, and beers like CBC’s lager and Amber Weiss.

Café Extrablatt (Green Point)

Whether you’re going for after-work or pre-dinner drinks, remember that happy hour extends from 5pm to 8pm, Mondays to Fridays. All cocktails cost R40, jumbos cost R45 and mocktails cost R32. These prices don’t apply on public holidays and event days.

Café Manhattan (De Waterkant)

Like the other restaurants in the Madame Zingara stable, this iconic eatery hosts a happy hour every day from 4pm to 6pm and again from 9pm until close. Selected beers, cocktails, wines and shots are available to buy one and get another free.

Catharina’s Restaurant (Steenberg)

There are some fabulous cocktails to enjoy at the bar, on the tranquil terrace or at your table, including an Aperol spritz, a strawberry or pineapple daquiri, a bubbly cocktail and more. If you visit between 4pm and 6pm, you’ll get two for the price of one!

Clarke’s (City Bowl)

A Rocking Chair (Bell’s whiskey with gingerbeer and bitters over ice with mint), double G&T or double brandy and coke are what you’ll most likely be ordering when visiting this diner-style eatery between 5pm and 6pm on weekdays, otherwise known as happy hour.

Da Vinci’s (Gardens)? 

Enjoy half-price beers, house wine, frozen cocktails and starters every Monday to Friday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. But you’ll have to take it one round at a time (according to the terms and conditions).

Harringtons Cocktail Lounge (City Bowl)

Available Wednesday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 6pm to 7pm. Expect to pay half price on all Classic cocktails, standard beers and local bubbly, as well as pouring spirits.

Jamaica Me Crazy (Woodstock)

From 4pm to 6pm, Mondays to Wednesdays, it’s We Need Beer time – Tafel and Black Label beers cost just R15. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 6pm to 7pm, you can buy one cocktail and get one free, a special that also runs from 5pm to 7pm on a Friday and from 3pm to 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Knife (Century City)

All cocktails, Jack Black Draught and house spirits are on offer at a reduced price every day from 5pm to 7pm.

La Parada (City Bowl and Constantia Nek)? 

Mondays to Fridays, from 5pm to 7pm, you can sip on two-for-one selected beers and wine at this popular eatery.

The Piano Bar (De Waterkant)

Here it’s happy hour every day from 4pm until 6pm on selected cocktails, wine, beer and tequila. On Thursdays from 7.30pm until 10.30pm, classic cocktails are available at half price and on Sundays, from 12pm, you can get your hands on a glass of Miss Molly Brut for just R40.

Rick’s Café Américain (Gardens)

Rick’s invites you to chill out and unwind with an extended happy hour (from 3pm to 7pm) every day. Cocktails go for R46; Jack Black draught lager, Keller pilsner and pale ale for R22 (330ml), R34 (500ml) and R60 (1L jug); and tequila is on offer on a buy-one-get-one-free basis.

The Sidewalk Café offers double the value, with two-for-one happy hours every day between 4pm and 6pm, and again from 9pm until close.

The Stack (Gardens)? 

Unless you’re part of the private members club, you’ll have to visit the brasserie and bar on the ground floor, where you can be part of the Cocktail Club. That means you get to sip on half-price (R40) cocktails or Striped Horse Pilsner (R30) between 3pm and 6pm every day.
