The Chairman (Durban)

The Chairman serves great jazz plus a lovely variety of drinks, including South African wines and cocktails with cool names, such as the Tea for Tow – a herb-infused chai tea with a black currant vodka. Or try the classic cocktails and mocktails such as the Long Pip with ginger beer, honey, pineapple and passion fruit. Also on offer are bar snacks, pizzas and other great options for tables of three or more.

The Lighthouse Bar (Umhlanga)

The Lighthouse Bar, located at the Oyster Box Hotel, has the most spectacular view of the lighthouse in all its red and white glory. Catch the sunset after work while grabbing signatures drinks such as the Lighthouse Heaven, The Bee’s Knees and the apple-mint cosmopolitan. If you’re not in the mood for a cocktail, try the selection of spirits and wines. If you’re not in the mode for an alcoholic beverage, try to make it in time for the high tea buffet at 2:30pm-5:00pm, which is a great end to a working day.
