Big Easy (Durban) ?

South Africa’s legendary golfer Ernie Els (hence the name) owns this restaurant, located in the Hilton Durban. Get a taste of its laid-back vibe on a Monday, when the Burger & Brew special runs. For 170 you can enjoy a gourmet burger and chips, served with a 500ml draught beer of your choice.

Circus Circus Café (Durban, Umhlanga & Amanzimtoti)

Enjoy a quality night out that doesn’t feel cheap (but is) on Quality Tuesdays. All burgers, except the Mother of All Burgers, are half price on Tuesdays.

Connor’s Public House (Durban North)

This charming Irish pub hosts All-Day Burger Thursdays, which means that for R70 you can choose any burger and get a Windhoek Draught or Amstel Radler.

Lords and Legends (Amanzimtoti & Brighton)

Sports café Lords is renowned for its burgers. On a Monday you get to enjoy two for the price of one from 11:00 to 20:30

RJ’s (KwaZulu-Natal)

While the slogan is “Famous Rib Steakhouse” RJ’s is also synonymous with delicious burgers. Try a regular, single burger (chicken, beef or rib) on a Monday, when they’re on special for R50. You can also top the burger with a sauce of your choice for R15. The burgers are served with two crispy onion rings and chips.

Robson’s Real Beer (Point) ?

The beer is amazing but so is the food, and if you plan your week carefully you can enjoy it all without breaking the bank. On Tuesday nights (from 17:00), the Local is Lekker special offers two cheeseburgers and two 340ml craft beers for R99. The Burger and Beer special that runs on a Wednesday from 17:00 includes selected burgers and a 500ml draught, glass of wine or soft drink for R89.

Union Square (Hillcrest)

Mondays at this casual family steakhouse are Burger Mondays because you get to buy one craft burger (choose from 23 options on the menu) with fries, salad or slaw and get one free. The special runs all day.

Waxy O’Connors (Westville)

Waxy Wednesdays are so popular that this vibey pub insists that patrons book early to avoid disappointment. Every Wednesday Waxy’s offers two gourmet burgers, with chips and onion rings, and two 500ml draughts for R109.
