The Life Grand Group is expanding this month by opening another Life Grand Café in Joburg’s brand-new R1.8 billion 65 000m² shopping centre, Mall of the South. The restaurant will join the Life Grand Cafés in Pretoria, Hyde Park Corner and Waterfall Corner as part of the family.
The new café will reflect the knack of Maira Koutsoudakis, CEO of Life Interiors, for creating chic and opulent designs. The space will have a lighter, tropical atmosphere with plenty of rich greens, limey yellows, golds and vibrant teals.

Explains Maira, “The soul of a place is everything, and we’ve taken special care to centre our design on the essence of this new Life Grand Café. It’s warm and vibrant, comfortable but super chic, with strong heritage characteristics to ground it.”
The lush new eatery will offer diners relaxed soul food from a wood-fired oven, a well-stocked wine room, and crafted cocktails against the backdrop of panoramic views of Johannesburg.
The Mall of the South is due to open its doors on 24 September, with the Life Grand Café following shortly after. Stay tuned to Eat Out for more updates.
