Attention ice cream lovers: the Magnum Pleasure Store pop-up shop is coming to Cape Town

Good news, Cape Town: the Magnum Pleasure Store pop-up shop will be coming to the Mother City on 17 January 2015 at Cavendish Square for a period of eight weeks.

In celebration of their 25th Birthday, the brand is giving ice cream aficionados the opportunity to customise their own Magnum ice cream with a choice of three decadent chocolate dips and nearly 20 toppings. Simply purchase a classic vanilla ice cream, choose between a white, dark or milk chocolate dip and pick your three favourite toppings, which range from sea salt and chilli flakes to edible rose petals and popping candy. The experience costs R50 per ice cream.

The pop-up store first opened in Joburg for a limited period last year (it closed on 24 December, sorry guys) and served over 7 000 Magnum fans in the first 10 days. The Cape Town pop-up is expected to draw crowds in the region of 50 000 during its eight-week stint.

A star-studded official launch party hosted by Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Leigh-Anne Williams will welcome Cape Town’s VIPs on 15 January, while the official public launch is set for 17 January. The pop-up will run for a limited period of eight weeks (17 January to 15 March 2015) and is open daily from 10am to 8pm.
