Cape Town’s hippest butchery, Frankie Fenner Meat Merchants, opens in the southern suburbs

Frankie Fenner Meat Merchants officially opened its doors in the busy Palmyra Junction on Friday.

Joining the sibling butchery in the City Bowl (which goes by Publik at night), this new addition to the leafy side of the mountain will be offering ethical, top-quality meat just in time for the spring braais to start firing up.

Customers can now stock up for their World Cup Rugby braaivleis or lazy Sunday roasts with options such as 100% free-range Karoo lamb, acorn-fed pork, grass-fed beef and pasture-reared chicken. Deli products such as olive oils, mustards and beer breads are also available in the beautiful new store.

Known for their commitment to clean, ethical and sustainable meat, the Frankie Fenner team work on the philosophy that the quality of the meat reflects how the animal was treated. All meat on offer is sourced from a group of passionate farmers and suppliers who treat their free-roaming animals with respect. The meat is also growth hormone and antibiotic free.

The new butchery is situated at Palmyra Junction on Palmyra Road, Claremont.
