Cooking at Le Quartier

Le Quartier Francais is back offering their hands-on culinary classes with internationally acclaimed Margot Janse (Relais & Chateaux Grand Chef) and Neil Jewell (Head Chef and Charcutier of Bread & Wine Restaurant).

You’re being taught by some of the best so expect to pay –  R1800 per person includes the cooking class, meal, wines, water, aprons and recipes (a maximum of six people will be accepted per course).
Margot’s courses are on the afternoons of April 25, May 9, June 27; Neil’s classes will be on the mornings of July 3, and August14 and 28.

The focus will be on local, seasonal produce and ways of enhancing flavour. It will also include unconventional food-and-wine pairings, with the entire affair culminating in a meal around the kitchen table with the chef and wine-maker, washed down with a well-earned glass of Franschhoek’s best.
