Food trucks to follow in the Cape Winelands and Garden Route

With sprawling vineyards and stunning views, the Winelands is the perfect place to park off and dish up some delicious foods. Perhaps its only competition is the unmissable Garden Route, so we’ve rounded up both areas’ fantastic food trucks.

Winelands

Ishushu Wood Fired Pizzas

This is the food truck for crisp wood-fired pizzas with a range of delicious toppings, from juicy ribs to buttery avos, with banting and gluten-free bases also available. Follow the smell of cheesy pizza and find them at certain wine estates, or at sporting events in the area. They’ve also branched out to include a branch in Technopark.

Garden Route

Greg’s Cookin

This seven-metre-long caravan-turned-food-truck can be found in Plettenberg Bay in the summer. The food truck is fully sustainable and they use fresh ingredients to serve gourmet lunches, dinners and picnic baskets. Expect options like pulled pork or roast beef tapenade sandwiches, bacon and eggs on sourdough, and brisket flatbreads. They also do drinks like homemade lemonade and iced tea, and desserts of brownies and healthy chocolate fondants.
