Casalinga Ristorante Italiano in Muldersdrift has launched an in-restaurant coffee roastery, The Green Bean African Coffee Roastery – a first for Gauteng.

The roastery offers restaurant-goers a taste of freshly ground Arabica beans from high-altitude regions in African countries such as Zambia, Rwanda and Malawi, specially blended to match individual tastes.

According to Jenny de Luca, Casalingas co-owner, diners have applauded the improvement in their coffee since the roastery opened. The experience of drinking freshly roasted coffee is heavenly compared to less fresh supermarket offerings…

Coffee lovers will also be glad to know that Casalinga offers alternative coffee-brewing tastings which focus more on coffee and less on milk-flavoured offerings such as cappucino and lattes.
