Get sushi delivered to your door with #UberLUNCH this Friday

UberSUSHI

Following October’s incredibly popular #UberLUNCH, Eat Out and Uber are happy to announce that we’ve teamed up again to bring you some super special sushi.

In Cape Town, Active Sushi will be offering 16-piece boxes including four Monkey Bars (deep-fried prawn rolls with avo, caviar, mayo and spring onion), four rainbow rolls, four Sakura rolls (salmon, cream cheese, beetroot, avo and prawn pate) and four salmon and avo rolls.

In Joburg, KOI Sandton and KOI Rosebank will be providing the sushi. This time the 16-piece offering will include eight salmon California rolls and eight tuna fashion sandwiches.

In Durban, Jack Salmon Fish House will be making up a gourmet mix of prawn fusion California rolls, salmon roses, tuna chilli roses and bamboo rolls.

UbersushiHow it works

On Friday, Uber riders in Cape Town, Joburg and Durban will be able to get 16 pieces of sushi  delivered to their door for only R150. Numbers will be limited, so you’ll have to have your finger poised and ready to order at Friday midday.

  • Starting at 11:30, Friday 27 November, ensure you are in a sushi zone (click here for more details), toggle over the sushi icon and request a ride
  • Within minutes your Uber will arrive and deliver sushi for only R150 from Active Sushi if in Cape Town, Jack Salmon if in Durban and KOI if in Joburg. You cannot choose which restaurant to request from in Joburg – it will depend which restaurant you are closest to when ordering.
  • Ordering with a friend? You can use our split fare option so you’re not footing the whole bill.
  • Demand will be very high – check back often if your first request is unsuccessful. Uber will keep delivering until there’s no more sushi left.
