Important: J.C. Le Roux and Las Paletas are now making alcoholic ice lollies

Forget soft serve, The House of J.C. Le Roux, one of SA’s popular sparkling wine producers, has hopped on summer’s latest drinks trend with its range of wine-infused icy treats for adults only.

Inspired by and made with some of J.C. Le Roux’s signature bubblies, the range of iced popsicles and granitas – all made with fresh fruit and sparkling wines – are available to visitors to the Stellenbosch estate.

The popsicles, created in partnership with popular artisanal sorbet and ice lolly maker Las Paletas, come in three flavours: strawberry and sauvignon blanc, litchi and Vibrazio Demi Sec, and an alcohol-free strawberries-and-cream option.

Want to get your hands on them? Visitors who book a bubbly tasting at the House of J.C. Le Roux will be offered these boozy treats on arrival as complimentary treats, or they can purchase the lollies at the tasting room at R25 a pop.

The tasting room will also be serving signature granitas (grown-up slush-puppies) made from the J.C. Le Roux La Fleurette bubbly and fresh strawberries, Le Domaine and pineapple, sauvignon blanc and kiwi, and La Chanson and mixed berries.
