Top brandy event coming to Cape Town and Joburg

Brandy lovers will have the opportunity to experience over 50 premium brands under one roof at Fine Brandy Fusion 2014 on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 May at the Cape Town Convention Centre in Cape Town. (If you’re nearer to Johannesburg, never fear: the event is headed your way on Thursday 5 June and Friday 6 June at the Sandton Convention Centre.)

This much-talked-about showcase celebrates one of the county’s oldest traditions, revelling both in brandy’s refined and fun sides. Visitors will also be able to enjoy sublime food and brandy pairings, including a KWV and Huguenot chocolate pairing.

Sip exotic brandy-based cocktails at the dedicated cocktail bar with its array of fresh flavours and mixers. Here you can also find out more about the Urban Brandy Cocktail Route, which recently expanded to include Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

There will also be live entertainment provided by Mi Casa, Johannesburg group Dr Duda, J’Something and Mo-T. Well-known local rapper and TV personality ProVerb will be acting as MC to guide guests in their exploration of South Africa’s favourite spirit.
