The time has come for Horst Frehse, Exective Director of The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, to bid farewell to us after a stellar 45-year career in the hotel industry.

“It is with great appreciation and wonderful memories that I will reminisce about my career as a hotelier in the years to come. I would like to thank the many amazing guests, friends, ‘guests-who-became-friends’ and many hotel colleagues who have contributed over the years to the fulfilled, exciting hotel-life and career I was so privileged to enjoy,” said Frehse.

As one of the country’s most respected and successful hoteliers, he has been a mentor, colleague, idol and friend to many.

Eat Out editor Abigail Donnelly says that she will remember Frehse by the wonderful way he would make one feel special and cared for: “I love his sincerity and passion and I wish him loads of fun and happiness.”

Mr Frehse will complete his handover at the end of this month. Eat Out would like to wish him all of the best on this new chapter in his life.
