“The idea came to me while sitting at a restaurant overlooking our beautiful Lonehill Lake. I realised this would be the perfect spot!” says Kyra Cason, owner of the newest market to hit the Johannesburg scene this year: Bella Donna Market in the Park.

The market, which will travel to different locations each month, kicks off on Sunday 22 November 2015 from 9am to 4pm at Lonehill Boulevard Road, Lonehill Park, Johannesburg. The second market will take place on 30 January, at a yet-to-be-confirmed location. Thereafter, an event will be held on the last Saturday of every month.

Bella Donna in the Park will host a range of food trucks and vendors, including The Balkan Burger Bus, A Thyme to Dine and Longtom Foods. “We are currently looking at housing 40 to 50 stalls for the first one, and then expanding” says Kyra. Arts and crafts, clothing, fresh produce and breads, cupcakes and a variety of chocolatey treats will also be on offer.

Drinks on offer fron vendors at the Bell Donna Market.

Locations will be confirmed closer to the time, but various themes are planned, including Arts & Vino in the Park, Italian Day in the Park and South African Day in the Park.

For more information, contact Kyra at Bella Donna Food. There are still a couple of vacancies for stallholders.
