Partner content: Not just burgers and lobsters anymore at this Bree Street favourite

Keeping everyone happy can be tricky – especially when everyone has their own special dietary requirements. Bree Street icon Burger and Lobster is expanding their menu with an exciting array of new dishes catering to a range of diners’ needs. Now vegetarians, vegans, the gluten-intolerant and those with shellfish allergies or on a low-carb diet can all find something satisfying to eat at Burger and Lobster.

Not a fan of red meat? There’s a new mouthwatering Southern-fried Sriracha-infused chicken burger served with coleslaw and fries. There’s also a vegetarian burger, featuring a patty made of lentils. Banters and the gluten-intolerant can find comfort in a six-week dry-aged sirloin steak and a summer salad. Also new is the lobster linguine in a Napoletana sauce, and a surf and turf burger for indecisive diners. All elements are homemade, from the buttery brioche buns to the moreish lobster and garlic butters.

Desserts and drinks are sorted too. Try the Oreo Nutella cheesecake, the Ferrero Rocher chocolate cake, or one of the monster milkshakes. Shakes come in flavours ranging from Nutella and pretzel to peppermint and Lindt white chocolate, as well as peanut butter and brownie. After something boozier? The bar will shake up one of their original cocktails.

If you’re looking for even more excuses to make this your weeknight haunt then the events nights are for you. Go with a date or mate on Mondays, when R349 will get you two glasses of Brampton sauvignon blanc or old vine, two burgers (either the B&L burger or the Southern fried chicken burger), and a slice of Oreo and Nutella cheesecake to share. Friday is gin night, with different gins highlighted every week. You can get a single G&T for R39 or a double for R59.
