Watch: Claire Winstanley goes in search of Cape Town’s best doughnuts

We sent Claire Winstanley of Good Looking and Cooking on a very important mission: to find The Mother City’s best doughnuts. She visited ASH, for their doughnut balls with smoked sugar and cheesecake dip, The General Store for their jam and cream-stuffed doughnuts, Jason for their famous doughssants and My Sugar for their amazing dessert-stuffed doughnuts. At the end of the day, the universe was the real winner, but one doughnut did edge its way into Claire’s affections slightly more than the others…

If you’d like to replicate Claire’s search, we must warn you: Jason’s doughssants are only available on Saturday mornings, and The General Store’s doughnuts are only available occasionally. (Check out their Instagram feed to see if you’re in luck.)
