1 bar spoon Pernod Absinthe
20ml lemon juice
20ml Simple syrup
1 egg white
A splash of soda water

Method

A brunch nip would usually be suggested for curing a weekend hangover. However, if you’ve ever wondered if there’s a cocktail that’s acceptable to sip on during the early hours of your weekend morning, wonder no more, such a concoction does exist – and it’s not a mimosa. Enter the Monkey Shoulder Morning Glory Fizz.

Monkey Shoulder, being at the heart of a cocktail revolution, is definitely as fun as a barrel of monkeys. This blended Scotch whisky has all the credentials of a classic single malt whisky, paired with the versatility and mixability that places it right at the heart of the exciting journey toward new and refreshing cocktails. As the days creep closer to summer, don’t forget to take a break every now and then to enjoy the lighter side of life.

Preparation:

Dry shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker then add ice and shake hard. Strain the contents into a tall glass using a fine strainer. Add just a splash of soda. Spray with absinthe and garnish with orange peel.

The Morning Glory Fizz is a cool blend of Monkey Shoulder, lemon juice, syrup, soda water and a spoon of absinthe, is the perfect cocktail for a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning and a great starter for a day filled with possibilities.
