The Fynbos

Joburg's Eugene Thompson took home R60 000 and an enviable brandy collection with this gingery, herby brandy cocktail, winning the 2012 FHM Brandy Cocktail of the year competition.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon honey
12.5ml Butlers ginger
50 ml Collisons brandy
25 ml sugar syrup
twist, in a Martini glass lemon
50 ml rooibos tea

Method

Chill a martini glass; shake rooibos tea, honey, ginger liquor, sugar syrup and brandy. Strain into martini glass; finish off with a lemon twist on the top.
