Food:

A small but exquisite menu that stays interesting with constant changes. The fillet with poached pinotage pear and blue cheese red wine sauce is a must, just like the tagliatelle with black mushrooms and pepper. The duck leg with foie gras, caramelised pineapple and spinach catches the eye. Crème brûlée is no cliché here and is the dessert of choice. The rest is foodie bliss!

Wine:

A novel of a wine list. Ask the wine steward for recommendations.

Service:

Friendly, informed and unobtrusive.

Ambience:

Upmarket. Unpretentious. Relaxed. Mod. A bit unexpected for Pretoria.

And...:

This is the place you take someone to impress them. (GU, September 2010)
