Food
Prepared by Chinese and Japanese chefs, the dim sum, sushi, noodles, robata grills and wok dishes are meant to be ordered in abundance and shared, so ideally you should go with a group of friends. The prawn toast, served in a portion of four, is recommended, as are the spicy lamb dumplings.
Wine
There’s a huge wine list with helpful descriptions and suggestions for matching with your food, which can sometimes be challenging when eating spicy dishes.
Service
Slightly overbearing when the restaurant is quiet, but overall polite and efficient.
Ambience
It’s dark with lacquered wood and soft lighting, giving it a bit of a nightclub feel. Tables are close together, which enhances the feeling of communal dining – or you can take a seat at the bar that runs the length of the open plan kitchen and watch the chefs at work.
And...
There are two sittings in the evening and a minimum spend required. (BC)
