Foo d Luca’s has moved to a new spot and, by the look of things, found its groove. The pizzas are wood fired and the pastas perfectly al dente. Yes, Jozi has finally woken up to designer pizzas. For the most delightful thin-based pizza with fresh ingredients, try the Palermitana with brinjal, artichoke and rocket. Carnivores have not been left behind: the lamb al caffe with apricots and espresso is interesting.
Wine
A large selection of topdrawer and mid-range wines all at prices you can smile at. Have a peep at the magnum selection; you just might find it worth your while to order one magnum instead of two standard bottles.
Service
Remember the family restaurant your dad used to take you to? At Luca’s you’re once again part of the family.
Service
is fast, familiar and informed.
Ambience
In the heart of suburban Jozi, Luca’s is hidden behind large trees and sunken back from the parking lot. Raw concrete and chandeliers set the scene for an indulgent Italian experience.
And...
Surrounded by big-franchise nightspots, things can get a bit noisy late at night. (RD)

Brilliant! Ask for wine recommendations from Luca - there is always something special not to be found on the wine list.
