This historically laden restaurant oozes character, drawing heavily from its rich fishing heritage. Portions are huge, and the pricing is extremely good. Friendly service coupled with a real home-style feel make this a great option for an easy night out with friends or family. The red meat dishes, however, fell short of expectations. The fantastic position and atmosphere almost make this issues irrelevant, and I'd still recommend Ons Huisie to anyone seeking a slice of West Coast hospitality.
