Food:

Graham and Gina Neilson continue to create fine fare that has put this elegant bistro consistently among South Africa’s top ten. The food is classic with a modern twist, and served with flair. It’s fresh, seasonal and the menu changes regularly. Try the prawn and chorizo stuffed calamari, followed by langoustine pasta (homemade linguini, tossed with baby lango tails, roasted tomato, chilli and rocket). Follow that with a sinful five-textured chocolate gateau. Mouth-wateringly delicious, all dishes have Graham’s distinctive signature.

Wine:

A good, tight selection, which is reasonably priced. There’s something to complement each dish, plus some interesting boutiques from routes less travelled.

Service:

Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. The way good service should be.

Ambience:

Simple and understated. It’s the food that counts. The room has had a bit of a makeover, with softer colours and more ambient lighting.

And...:

The best meal in Durban in 2011. (FC, October 2011)
