Food:

Good value, home-style meals make this a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or even afternoon tea. Toasted sandwiches are made using homemade bread and farm butter. A blackboard menu lists daily options like hearty bean soup, chicken curry and meatball pasta. Homemade desserts also vary from day to day.

Wine:

Only a house red and white are available, but there is no BYO charge and plans to expand the wine list are in the making.

Service:

Having the owners on site means any service hiccups are quickly resolved.

Ambience:

Jams, preserves and other deli items are displayed around the venue, with sunshine through the glass frontage adding to the relaxed, unpretentious feel.

And...:

Treat yourself to scones with jam and fresh, locally produced clotted cream, or take home some freshly baked bread. (DV, October 2011)
