Food:

This Indian eatery is as close as you will get to a real experience of good, simple, traditional Indian food anywhere outside India itself. It is completely vegetarian, and offers largely Gujarati and Jain fare – available all day and dished out from bain-maries in the takeout section or with more options available in the sit-down area next door. There is always a good, buttery basmati, a mixed vegetable curry, dal, paneer masala and red bean curry with extra samoosas, rotis, street-side chaat and South Indian dosas available.

Wine:

Run as a nonprofit organisation, and in keeping with the tenets of this spiritual group, no alcohol is served. A traditional chai or yogurt lassi are the classic accompaniments to your meal.

Service:

This restaurant has a steady flow of patrons and the staff works hard to make sure that everyone gets what they want.

Ambience:

Simple decor, with a bit of style in the seated restaurant area – and always spotlessly clean. There is nothing distasteful to get in the way of a good eating experience.

And...:

Indians are historically 80% vegetarian – don’t show your ignorance and disrespect by asking for lamb korma. (AlK, September 2010)
