Food:

Unfussy, contemporary food is what’s on offer at this ocean-side gem. For starters, the butternut velouté with pumpkin ravioli or the traditional French onion soup are equally good bets. Moving on to something more substantial, the lamb gnocchi is a good option (if it’s on the menu), as is the springbok loin with ratatouille veggies. To round off the experience, opt for the croissant bread and butter pudding with whiskey crème anglaise.

Wine:

A comprehensive but rather expensive line-up of local favourites.

Service:

Just the right balance between unobtrusive and professional.

Ambience:

Perched right above the azure Atlantic, there’s hardly a more picturesque spot to enjoy your meal.

And...:

There’s a vibey bar, if you want to enjoy some cocktails before dinner. (AK, October 2011)
