Food:

There’s a global menu with French, Asian, African and Mediterranean influences as well as a large separate sushi menu. Opt for the prime rib served with barley risotto or the spicy crab curry. Prawns can be served the Mozambican way, while a lamb rack is served en croute. There is lighter fare at lunchtime including a fish burger livened up with fresh coriander and sweet chilli or mussels in a creamy basil sauce served with pommes frite and the obligatory mayo on the side.

Wine:

The award-winning wine list includes top French and South African wines.

Service:

Coolly efficient.

Ambience:

Postcard-perfect vistas of the northern suburbs skyline are complemented by a sophisticated decor scheme with brown, black and gold hues.

Lovely place, lovely food and ambience. Love the jazz and it never disappoints! Very attentive staff, not cheap but value for money.

My husband and I went there on Saturday night to celebrate an anniversary. Having asked for a nice table before hand, we were seated at a secluded table, right next to an oversized open window looking out over Johannesburg. The decor is very elegant and slick, done in neutral tones. Waitrons are very attentive but inconspicuous.

Food was good and presented well - it isn't a rip off but neither is it particularly cheap.

There is a lovely jazz pianist and singer every night apparently, and they were a wonderful addition to the evening.

Would recommend the Salmon Tartar and the Trio of Creme Brulee.
