Food:

Mostly grills and a few Indian-themed dishes sit side by side with club sandwiches, burgers and Caesar salads (this restaurant kitchen also caters to in-room dining at the hotel). The Mint is an expensive option with starters at R65 and mains at R150, but the quality is very good, though, and the kitchen brigade is clearly in control. Try the beef fillet with enoki mushrooms, springbok loin or the seared tuna starter – all beautifully presented and sauced.

Wine:

Well put-together list with great choices at the R150 mark; by the glass you’ll find a solid selection from R35–R60.

Service:

Charming if slightly inexperienced.

Ambience:

Beautifully designed and furnished space – stunning modern copper chandeliers accent light blue and green hues throughout with light natural wood furnishings opening up onto a truly captivating show kitchen complete with mosaics and copper light fittings.
