Food
A Japanese food lover’s dream, the menu here offers some of the best sushi in town, as well as some delicious and delicate seafood treats. The Sea starter, an assortment of scallops, prawns, octopus, squid and seaweed, is a real delight and aptly named. For mains, the sushi is an obvious must, and if you’re lucky you’ll get a grating of fresh wasabi root. You could also try another of the deliciously simple dishes, such as the bamboosteamed clams with egg noodles. Desserts are limited but fresh, like the melon liqueur jello with greentea ice cream.
Wine
A neat list of local gems, most offered by the glass. But the cocktails are an absolute must, as are the Japanese beers.
Service
Polite, graceful and efficient. The owner sees to it that his establishment is run just so, and will often come and chat to guests at the table.
Ambience
The clean interiors are calming and the smell of scented candles and the water feature create a really restful atmosphere.
