I have followed the to ladies from Hyde Park to Bluebird to Illovo and have always enjoyed what was on offer. Sadly, the attention to detail was lacking and it seemed as if the well trained and experienced staff were just a bit lax when either of the ladies not present. so much so, my guest had to return the salmon and ginger dish - that he loved and 'ordered' when we decided where to go for lunch! Since then, my wife was not very happy with her Risotto and I was less than impressed with the prawn starter. Not one to make a fuss in a crowded place, I invited the head waiter outside and mentioned this to him. Been back last week - no great improvement! I know life - and restaurants - go through cycles - - I will wait for the "up" cycle before I return.
