Some experiences you just have to laugh off. Supper at Bootleggers proved to be such an experience. A joint that is known for their burgers did not have burger buns on a Friday night. My friends and I were met by bewildered staff that rather busiest themselves by snacking and chatting with their manager instead of looking after their customers. Food was grossly overpriced. R70 for a ‘bun-less burger’ (no sides) or rather an overcooked piece of chicken with a few bits of greenery – it’s rather sad when you’re presented with a large white plate with a small island of food. Waitresses refused to make substitutions or lower the prices when they couldn’t supply a main component of a burger: THE BUN! Really disappointed in this neighborhood restaurant. My friends and I won’t return and will not recommend to anyone.
