How long in advance do you need to book at this restaurant to get a table inside? We booked 3 weeks in advance and had to sit on the patio! Had they told us this when we made the booking we might have been prepared or gone somewhere else but to be told that we were sitting outside when we arrived caught us unaware and it was a birthday celebration dinner. Whoop dee doo we had a heater but there is no security on the patio, you are open to the car park. So no security and in this day and age in Jozie. Not good. This area should only be used at lunchtime in summer. People who were lucky enough to eat inside got irritated with the door from the outside being opened all the time as they got blasted with cold air. Food was good but the wine is incredible expensive! Service was Ok, the waiter being very polite with not very happy customers. I found the owner and maître de incredibly arrogant to our plight of not wanting to siting outside. Would I go back... Well not in the near future there are many more great restaurants that deserve my patronage more than Cafe del Sol.
