I was impressed with the food and the atmosphere, but the lack of service definitely didnt work in the restaurants favour. I had to get up and ask the waitress how long it would take after waiting almost 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive - nothing fancy, just two simple rock shandies. After about 40 minutes to an hour our food had still not arrived. We asked the waitress how our order was coming along, to which she responded that they would be putting it into the oven momentarily... No communication had been made as to the overload of orders in the kitchen until this point. The apologies only started then... Bear in mind that we had not ordered any starters and no bread had been offered in the interim, which should be the norm for any Italian-based eatery/restaurant. What I can compliment on is the great tasting pizzas and a lovely dessert selection. Our desserts were complimentary from the manageress, which was a lovely surprise, but we would have been happy to pay for them had there been honest communication from the get-go.
