After reading the reviews we were a bit apprehensive to try the restaurant but through caution to the wind and went not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu is very well written making the expectation of the food quite high. Neither of us were disappointed. We had the equilibrium of beef and the roasted quail for mains both dishes had good portions of protein to starch to vegetables. The sauces served with the dishes lifted the flavours rather than over powering them. Plating was beautiful and the different textures in the dish really peaked the palate. I found the service lovely. We are not fans of the hovering waiter, and were left alone enough to have a conversation without feeling that we waiting for drinks. We never battled to get the attention of the waitresses serving that night and the food came as stated on the menu 25 to 30 mins after ordering I got cold and was offered a blanket to put over my knees, something I'm pretty sure has never happened to me before. The staff want you to enjoy the experience as much as possible. We were also quite impressed with the price. We spent R500 for the 2 main courses, drinks and desert and tip. I would recommend that you go when the full menu if available as the dishes on the weekday menu don't look half as exciting.
