We (table of 4) visited The Showroom on a very busy wet Monday evening for dinner. The welcome was warm and encouraging and the service throughout the evening attentive and friendly. The open view of the kitchen complemented the vibe of the restaurant. The kitchen staff headed by Bruce were buzzing and clearly motivated by their love of food. The presentation of the food was creative. The mix of crockery in accordance with the meal ordered hightened the experience. All of the aforegoing is of little consequence if the food itself is not what is expected. Suffice to say that the food was not as expected. It was way beyond! The taste sensation of each course lingers on - even now as I write these comments. The prawn and scallop starter was a taste sensation. The duck was tender and tasty with the suggested sauce ideal. The dessert (indulged in so as not to miss out on the experince) was decadent and will require more visits to the gym. This is definitely a restaurant to visit again and again which, for Cape Town with so many great options, is no mean achievment. Enjoy enjoy!
