Jasmyn Farm Stall

Upon entry to the Jasmyn Farm Stall I was impressed with the quality and variety of the fresh produce and packed goods. An array of delicious homemade treats and tastes of all sorts adorned the aisles. I proceeded in my shopping experience and continued with wife in hand to the till points to pay for the goods. On reaching the point of payment, an assistant very briefly and with complete lack of friendliness directed myself and wife to her till point. The assistant was a white afrikaans lady named Iddy. Whilst she lazily dragged our goods for scanning, we posed a question as to whether the store kept a specific form of honey produce, to which she bluntly replied "No". We further asked if there were serviettes available for the purpose of wiping our hands. She remarked in an even sterner tone "No", and her snarly expression became apparent. I kept my calm and handed my card for payment. Once the transaction cleared, I noted that the goods were not packed in the plastic bag that I had paid for. I noted that the rest of the tellers were packing goods for their customers. When I requested that she pack my items in the plastic bag, her immediate response was a dead and flat "No!". Her ugly behaviour, complete lack of friendliness and disgusting conduct was evident by her stink of racism. I verbally raised my disgust and in the presence of other customers, made her aware that her conduct was extremely unacceptable and a violation of human rights. I requested an immediate refund on the purchased goods. The supervisor was informed of the issue at hand, yet did not have the courtesy to settle the matter or seek a resolution, or investigate the basis of the altercation. The teller continued to smile and smirk with the ugliness of racism screaming from within. Never will I set foot at the Jasmyn Farm Stall and will proceed to escalate the matter to sources who will deal with such persons who cannot accept that the our democracy permits equality for all in respect of the way people are treated. Moreover, it is a human right to be treated with dignity, respect and as a customer one would expect this to be the standard. Thank you for reading.
