We celebrated my wife's birthday at Kream, Mall of Africa, on 7 January 2017. We were a group of 6. The venue is very nice and have good decor. The serviced wash rushed and we felt presured as if they were trying to rush us to make place for other guests. At least two guest's plates were removed before they were finished. On enquiring about the starch options available, a response faster and more condescending than any auctioneer can give, was received. After the starter was served and main course ordered, our waiter disappeared and had to have her called everytime we needed something. The food was also of a very poor quality. The following examples. My wife had the special of the day being Kudu fillet with rainbow carrots. The fillet was well prepared but she had 3 limp standard carrots on her plate. The sauce was also very poor and grainy as if it had sand in it. I had the wild mushroom starter. There was only one type of mushroom in the mix, and not realy wild. The pastry was soggy and not crisp and fluffy as one would expect. It tasted if it was made a long time ago. The chicken trio was bland with no flavour and the chicken thigh was very dry. One of our guests had the rump, which was well prepared but he expressed the opinion that Mc Donalds makes better chips. The trout was dry and unappitising. Our vegeterian guests did not complain except for the bread plate, wich was removed, with bread, before they were finished. Johan Nel
