If you believe a bagel is a bun with a hole, this is the place for you. If, however, you know that (and I quote wikipedia lest I am said to have my own ideas) a bagel is traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked, then this is not the place for you. What you buy here is an expensive bun with a hole. For proper bagels Sea Point Spar is at the moment your best bet.
