Mink & Trout deliered big time tonight on all fronts. The service was impeccable but it was overshadowed by the exceptional food. We had starters of mussels with a Cape Malay twist, and creamy, flavourful butternut soup. Both can be recommended. My husband chose pork for his mains and said it was done to perfection. I'll have to try it next time as he wouldn't share a morsel of it. I had duck and am very glad I wasn't expected to trade a mouthful as I wanted it all to myself. Both dishes were perfect portions, with layers of complex flavours. We shared a dessert of flourless chocolate cake that hit the spot beautifully.
